(CNN) -concern grew Saturday for the well-being of the beloved male squirrel monkeys stolen from a cage in a Zoo San Francisco in California.
Zoo workers discovered the theft Thursday morning, when they find back round the gate had been violated and two holes intersected mesh fence exhibition squirrel monkeys.
The monkey is missing, which is known as the banana-Sam guards, is 17 years, more than 12 inches high and weighing about 2 pounds.
But its caretakers warn that while he looks very funny, he is not a pet–and can give a nasty bite.
“He has very sharp teeth and will surely bite if provoked, which can cause an infection immediately,” said the Zoo.
